Located in downtown Seattle's vibrant, historic Pioneer Square neighborhood, Lowman Building is a 10-story, mixed residential/retail building acquired in 2005. Formerly an office tower, Evergreen Housing used low-income housing and historic preservation tax credits to convert the space into 89 much-needed, affordable housing units and street-level retail. While retaining the building's distinctive exterior, Evergreen performed a gut rehabilitation resulting in studio apartments ranging from 355 to 586 square feet with contemporary kitchens, nine-foot ceilings, hardwood-style plank flooring and technology wiring. The property was sold in 2019.
