The Redwood Park apartment community offers 232 units of affordable rental housing. Originally built as market rate apartments in 1978, the property was in need of substantial rehabilitation by 2005. Evergreen Housing used low-income housing tax credits to bring the property to new life and create a community asset by providing affordable housing for households earning no more than 60% of area median income. Redwood Park's studio, one and two-bedroom apartments have been updated with new kitchens and baths. Residents enjoy park-like grounds, community gardens, resident clubhouse with lounge, fitness center, BBQ, and children's play area. Suburban shopping, city parks, public transportation and easy freeway access are all nearby.
